Fabienne Münch, Executive Director, Global Initiatives and Strategy, The University of
Chicago
Prior to joining UChicago, Fabienne was the Université de Montréal School of Design
Chair, where she taught strategic design and facilitated the implementation of inter
disciplinary programs between industrial design, engineering and business; she supported
the department faculty in implementing four undergraduate and graduate curricula reforms,
and the launch of two master degrees in interior design and strategic sustainable design;
she developed partnerships with industry and design schools in Europe, South America
and Asia.

Fabienne started her career in the private sector, where she held various
leadership positions in Research, Design & Development at Herman Miller Inc, Michigan.
Originally from France, as co-Principal of a design studio in Paris she developed a passion
for applying a rigorous design-driven process to business problems. Fabienne holds a
master’s degree in international business administration from the Université de Nancy-ICN
and a master’s degree in Social Sciences from HEC, Paris in partnership with Oxford
University, UK.
