Will Carey, Director, Executive Board, Map Project Office

Will is responsible for leading Map design and the growth strategy in North America through new and existing business, as well as the expansion of our current offer.
His key client relationships include various Fortune 500 companies and Silicon Valley startups.
Beginning his career at Barber Osgerby and Universal Design Studio, Will has spent over 20 years in various in-house and design consultancy teams. As Executive Design Director of IDEO Palo Alto Will led the growth of the product portfolio working with various innovation labs in Silicon Valley. Most recently he was Head of Design at Logitech where he led the formation of the first in-house design team for gaming and was part of the leadership team responsible for building a design led company.
Born in Oxford, UK, Will received an MA in Design Interactions from the Royal College of Art London and a BA in Product Design from Central St Martins College of Art and Design

Over his career, Will has worked across a wide range of industries including aerospace, automotive, aviation, consumer electronics, sportswear, pharmaceutical, office spaces, biotech, toys and gaming. The experiences of working as a consultant and in-house for Fortune 500 companies as well as independently, has given Will a diverse portfolio of work and a proven track record of successfully leading multidisciplinary design teams implementing tangible design vision with mass market impact.

Will has exhibited work in London, Milan, Paris, New York, and Tokyo and has work featured in the permanent collection of the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Museum. Will has won design awards that include Design Week’s Future of Design, Wallpaper’s Best Debut Collection, Blueprint’s Best Show, IDSA bronze packaging awards, Fast Co. Innovation by Design award, GOOD DESIGN award, IDA design award, IF design award and a Cannes Lions Grand Prix for product innovation.
