Michael Poirier AIA, Principal, Poirier Design

Michael is a Creative Designer, Architect and Contractor. He has decades of experience designing high-profile residences,
graphic design and urban planning. He was a student of Cristiano Toraldo di Francia of Superstudio in Firenze, Italy in 1993.
The office is fueled by his love of international travel, music, art, and culture. He has also recorded albums with several bands,
produced a public access TV show, performed stand up comedy, made artwork, created and ran underground clubs, performed
as a DJ and podcaster at KXLU 88.9FM “Octavius”! His work has been featured in magazines and journals internationally,
including Architectural Record, GA Houses, The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times. He is a licensed Architect and
Contractor in California.

Michael has been a leader in the LA Architecture community and worked with many of the great architects of City of Angels,
including; Moule and Polyzoides, Lorcan O’Herlihy Architects, Clive Wilkinson Architects, Marmol Radziner Associates, Steinberg
Architects, Assembledge+, Rios Clementi Hale Studios, and Roman James Design Build. He has worked with Zach De La Rocha,
Ken Jordan, Skrillex, Jillionaire, Darren Star, Milla Jovovich and many other notable clients.

He began working independently from his studio in Los Angeles starting in 2003. Since then, he has completed several residential
projects throughout Southern California and Costa Rica, for a very creative and progressive group of clients and developers. Michael
received his Bachelor of Architecture from California State University Pomona in 1995 with honors.
