Colin Owen, Design Director, Elroy Air
Colin was raised in the deep south on a steady diet of trails, mischief, and tinkering. He was made (mostly) civil at Rice University (B.A. in Arch, B. of Arch.) and Art Center College of Design (M.S.I.D.). Prior to Sparse, he served a diverse set of clients including Wireless Generation, Nokia, NASA, Nike, Intel, Biodesign, and Terrazign. In addition to heading up Elroy Air’s design team, he is also an Assistant Professor at The California College of The Arts in San Francisco. In that position he founded the Urban Mobility Initiative which puzzles out civic transportation issues and makes bikes. Elroy Air has recently announced planned flights for their unmanned full-sized cargo aircraft (see link above).
