Alexander Terry, Principal, Terry and Terry Architecture
Alex is a Co-founder of Terry & Terry Architecture, in Berkeley, California. He has nearly 30 years’ experience in Architecture. Alex received his undergraduate and masters degrees in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. In 1999, Alex and his brother, Ivan, founded Terry & Terry Architecture with the goal of combining innovative architectural theory and practice. Both brothers have extensive, first-hand experience with materials, construction and fabrication.

This unique knowledge of the relationships between and among concept, construction and project realization underscores all of their work. The firm aspires to improve the quality of life and art through design excellence. It handles a wide variety of projects, including the design of custom single-family homes, multi-family housing, and retail and commercial work, with a focus on innovation in response to changing environmental conditions.

Terry & Terry Architecture has been recognized with numerous local, regional, national and international awards, including the AIA National Housing Award, the AIA California Design Award, the AIA San Francisco Design Award, the International Design Award, and multiple Spark Design Awards. The firm was also chosen to participate in the “Time Space Existence” exhibit in Venice, Italy, part of the 15th International Architecture Exhibition of la Biennale di Venezia.
