Nikolaus Hafermaas, Founder, hafermaas°creative, Milano

Nik is an internationally recognized and award-winning media artist, designer and educational leader. He is a passionate advocate for integrated art and design programs in all media formats.

During his tenure leading the undergraduate and graduate graphic design departments at Art Center between 2004 and 2018, Nik created a revolutionary transmedia curriculum by merging print, packaging, motion, and visual interaction design. In his hometown of Berlin, Germany, he initiated ArtCenter Berlin, the school’s European satellite studio for forward-thinking global collaborations and transdisciplinary programs abroad.

Nik founded hafermaas°creative, a design consultancy that collaborates with diverse experts to bring creative visions to life, informed by insight, cutting-edge design and extensive experience.
