Designer: Bassam Jabry
Design Type: Experience, Space, Branding and Communication Design
Company / Organization / School: Chemistry Form Pte Ltd

Chemistry worked with the Singapore Tourism Board to create and deliver an innovative user experience for the new Singapore Visitor Centre (SVC). The SVC is now the prime service touch point for visitors coming to Singapore, offering a unique, human centered and tailor made experience across a variety of touch points. The design was influenced by extensive ethnographic research into the needs and behaviour of visitors to Singapore. Working closely with the client team and staff of the center, Chemistry created a set of design concepts, which were prototyped and iterated in several rounds. The final design concept is based on the narrative of Singapore as a 'melting pot', using various elements to create an holistic experience focusing on personal interaction and customization for the visitors. Key features are: - Interactive kiosks for self help and rich engagement with staff - User friendly IT system focused on rich information, supporting the staff to deliver a comprehensive service from start to finish - Inspiring design elements across the space engaging all visitors - Curated retail shop selling quality souvenirs. - 2nd Floor ‘open space’ for exhibitions, events and functions with an on going roster of programmes
