Today businesses need to make strategic decisions on the fly. Faced with constant need to adjust plans, reshuffle priorities or reassign employees, they need a way to capture the big picture of what makes their business successful: What resources are available and how are they utilized? What is the current and projected workload? Which projects are profitable and on track? How to keep creative workers inspired and motivated? How to give them independence and autonomy, while keeping the finger on the pulse of the business? Current tools either address one aspect of the business, or focus on the tactical details, failing to provide this big picture. 10,000ft focuses on the top level information for the key aspects of the organisation - what projects are being developed, how they are progressing, how are people allocated, what are the main deliverables, and what is the size of the remaining budget. 10,000ft aims to give freedom within a framework: each team member is on the same page of a project with respect to deliverables, time and budget. Yet, there is enough space for individuals to develop and follow their own plan. The result is a well-defined business environment, where each team member has the flexibility to channel his or her creativity into opportunities to innovate. By applying design thinking to what traditionally are stogy resource planning processes, 10,000ft empowers creative professionals to make smart and strategic business decisions. With high-level goals in mind, employees can work independently, while the business remains profitable.
