The BOEING 747-8 Intercontinental (747-8i) features the most innovative interior of any large commercial jet in-service today. Inspired by the 787 Dreamliner and centered on comfort and relaxation, the 747-8i delivers an unprecedented long-haul passenger experience. • The 747-8i features a more expansive inner architecture designed to welcome passengers on board with ceilings that sweep dramatically upward; the perceived height of the entryway is additionally increased by the intelligent use of material layering and lighting. • The spacious look and feel of the cabin is further enhanced by soft, patented LED lighting, thoughtfully balanced for leisure, work or rest. The lighting can simulate a full flying day for longer flights, gradually changing through a spectrum of lighting from day into night. • A dramatic staircase at the main passenger entrance imparts a gracious welcome and draws the eye upward, creating an impression of ample, open space. • Unlike conventional stowage bins which cut out into passengers overhead space, the 747-8i bins glide down as they open, and then store up and away--providing more headspace then ever before. • Large windows connect passengers to the sky and flying experience. • The iconic 747 upper deck is reimagined as a uniquely intimate space for business class passengers with curved, organic lines and a smooth ceiling overhead that evokes a sense of “private jet” luxury. • The 747-8i features an exclusive, private first class section at the front of the main deck cabin highlighted by a one-of-a-kind near-forward view.
