Jonah Becker

Jonah Becker, VP of Design, Fitbit

Jonah leads the UX, UX Research, and Industrial Design teams to deliver products and experiences that can help everyone in the world be healthier.

Jonah is a California native who knew he wanted to be a designer from a young age after spending countless hours of his childhood in his mom’s graphic design studio. Jonah approaches design with a sharp eye for cultural relevance, and he thrives on building great products, teams, and brands.

Before joining Fitbit, Jonah was VP of Industrial Design at HTC, where he led the design team on roadmap, future vision, and branding programs, playing a lead role in the company’s success in the smartphone market and expansion into new categories.

Jonah was also President of One & Co, a San Francisco design agency acquired by HTC in 2008 to establish its consumer-facing brand and build a culture of great design. At One & Co Jonah created award-winning work for clients such as Nike, Microsoft, Sony, Adidas, Dell, Burton Snowboards, Amazon/Lab 126, K2 Sports, Kodak, Plantronics, and The North Face.

Jonah spent his early professional years at global product strategy and design firm, frogdesign, and as the design manager at Telespree, a telecommunications startup where he led all hardware and communications design.

Jonah has a B.A. in Philosophy from U.C. Berkeley and a B.F.A. in Industrial Design from California College of the Arts, where he is a senior lecturer in the design program. When Jonah isn’t thinking about design you’ll likely find him cycling, running, playing guitar, or watching his daughters’ soccer games.
