Eskild Hansen, Founder & CEO, Eskild Hansen Design Studios

Eskild’s multidisciplinary design and innovation agency have HQ in Copenhagen, a city rich in design heritage and culture. Eskild Hansen focuses on leveraging design and technology to carve out and redefine the possibilities of technology and aesthetic experiences. Eskild is internationally recognized for his design work that has been featured in a wide range of global media. He uses the proud heritage of Scandinavian Design as a platform for his work

Prior to setting up his own practice, Eskild was the Global Director of Design at Coloplast, responsible for the global design strategy, the multi-disciplinary design team, projects and for external partners. The vision was to use design to create the most innovative medical device company in the world

Before this, Eskild was the Head of the Cisco European Design Center. Over the six years in this leadership role, he managed the multi-disciplinary European design team and formulated the vision and strategies for the implementation and execution of large global Cisco Consumer projects.

Prior to joining Cisco, Eskild was Chief Designer for KiSS Technology, where he worked on a number of award winning products including flat-panel TVs and set top boxes. Here, he also had the opportunity to design home entertainment products for Deutsche Telecom, Virgin, BBC, TDC and Swisscom. He has also worked on products for multinational corporations like Philips, Thorn, Louis Poulsen – with a special interest in the design of lighting.

Eskild started his career with positions at the Rockwell Group in New York and David Lewis Designers, Copenhagen. At David Lewis, he concentrated on the development of new products for Bang & Olufsen.

He is actively involved in the Danish and international design community and was co-chairman of Danish Design Council and a range of board positions as of the Danish Design Association and Danish Design Center. He has served as Chief Advisor of Design and Innovation for Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark
