Who Can Enter the Competitions? You!
With the new Spark>Concept & Student Awards, Spark>Communication, Spark>App, Spark>Product and Spark>Space competitions, it’s even easier for designers to Spark. All designers, art directors, design firms and departments, ad agencies, marketing and branding practices, clients, manufacturers, student and non-professional or novice designers are welcome to compete, or to just join the Spark Community.
Spark accepts and promotes all types of design. As you’ll see on our Categories pages, this ranges from product design to branders, digital animation to brick and mortar architecture. Entries are accepted for any designs launched from January 2000 forward, and a design may be entered again, in later years if it did not win (each year we host completely new Juries). Each entrant may enter as many designs as they wish.
All entries received by deadline will be judged by the Official Spark juries.
Large equipment, interiors, public spaces, buildings, apps, digital and website design are submitted as visuals–usually as videos or on display boards. Most other designs are judged in physical, production, model or published form. Spark>Concept & Student and the AllSparks work will all be judged online–no actual products or display boards are needed.
Please note—designs should not be sent to Spark prior to the published delivery period, and also they should be shipped to our Autodesk Gallery judging site in California, not to our offices in New York.
Please remember to document your design creation process. Consider all media for this–video, still photography, text. This is important for your own development and records and potential sharing for educational and promotional reasons!
