2013 SPARK>APP ENTRY FEES
The Spark>App Awards are for work that is published and available to the general public, companies or organizations. It is not for concept or student work (however, student and concept apps are welcome in the Spark Concept & Student competition). The Spark>App emphasis is on “finished” products that are considered viable in the marketplaces for Apps.
Professional Entry Fees
Series or campaign entries may be submitted with a single registration. The series fee is an additional $100 one-time surcharge, for any number of additional pieces.
Finalist Second Round Hanging Fee (only if entry is a Finalist):
Professional entry, US$150
Winners Circle Service Charge (includes digital Spark yearbook, Exhibition(s), Logo rights, Winners Certificate PDF, Online Gallery, Publicity and Awards Celebration.)
Professional or company: US$250
Please note: the Winners Circle Service Charge is not optional. It is an important part of competition funding and all winners are obligated to pay it. If you enter the competition, you agree to the Terms and Conditions of the event, which include this fee. Only those firms and individuals who pay their fees are considered Official Spark Winners.
Optional: the Spark Official Trophy: US$195, plus shipping/service charge. Additional (identical) trophy: $125
Optional: the gold-foil Spark Certificate. This is a framed paper certificate of great beauty. It is customized to the winner and available in limited quantities. US$95, plus shipping/service charge.
Notes: Spark works hard to provide the best value of any of the major design awards, as well as having the most modern competition criteria. To widen the entrant field, and keep the competition as open to as many designers as possible, we have a low initial entry fee, then a second “hanging fee” for finalists, and later, a Winners Circle service charge for winners. Thus, only those who participate–and benefit the most, pay the complete fees. Those who participate less, pay less.
We usually have lower fees than the other major design awards—in many comparisons Spark is one third the cost of those competitions, when all their winners fees are added up. We urge all designers to research and inform themselves about these facts.
Payments are made directly to our secure online registration page. We accept the following credit cards: VISA Mastercard, JCB, Diners Club and Discover. In special circumstances, Spark can also take payment via Paypal, bank wire and check (USA checks only).
All dates and fees subject to change. Fees are due upon registration or upon notification of Finalist or Winner status. Refunds are available, up to 6 weeks prior to final deadline.
