Spark works hard to provide the best value of any of the major international design awards, as well as having the most modern competition criteria. To widen the entrant field, and keep the competition as open to as many designers as possible, we have a low initial entry fee, then a second “hanging fee” for finalists, and later, a Winners Circle service charge for winners. Thus, only those who participate–and benefit the most, pay the complete fees. Those who participate less, pay less.
We usually have lower fees than the other major design awards—in many comparisons Spark is less than half the cost of those competitions, when all their winners fees are added up. We urge all designers to research and inform themselves about these facts.
