While re-engineering and re-designing a salad spinner, we learned resourceful women were buying salad spinners to wash their delicates. This sparked the idea that the salad spinner technology we innovated could be used to create a portable, hand-powered laundry machine that would be far more appropriate for the task, than a salad spinner. We challenged ourselves to create an easy-to-use, energy efficient, eco-conscious laundry device. The result is Laundry POD, a portable, hand-powered laundry machine. Small enough to fit under the sink, Laundry POD is intended for delicates, hand-washables, and anytime you don’t want to waste the energy or a trip to the Laundromat. The spinning action of Laundry POD gently washes, rinses, and then extracts water to improve drying times. Ideal for urban dwellers, RV campers, and the eco-conscious, Laundry POD is a quick, efficient way to wash and damp dry small loads quickly. Laundry POD is intended for the times you need to do a small load quickly, and don’t want to waste the energy or a trip to the Laundromat. With a spinning action that gently washes, rinses, and then extracts water to improve drying times, the Laundry POD is particularly ideal for delicates, hand-washables, and small, in-between loads.
