Light to Form is an experimentation on form finding which can trace non-formal quality of light and turn it into 3 dimensional form. The trace of light captured by video camera is translated into the matrix of cubes by Processing script. The different brightness of light source forms the rich variety of the cube heights in real time which forms the continuous surface. Then Processing exports the cubes into 3d data which can be 3d printed. The experiment shows the example of the free hand writing in the air turned into 3 dimensional type, by casting the ephemeral of light drawing in the definitive and tangible form.
