Marc is President & Editor of Emotional Branding LLC, and founder of the international design and branding consultancy Desgrippes Gobé, one of the world’s top ten brand image creation firms. Responsible for Coca-Cola’s new worldwide identity and packaging design, Marc Gobé, a brand design pioneer, has written the business’ bestseller "Emotional Branding—The New Paradigm for Connecting Brands to People" (Allworth Press, 2001) and "Citizen Brand—The 10 Commandments for Transforming Brands in a Consumer Democracy” (Allworth Press, 2002) .

After extensive studies in the field of graphic design, Mr Gobé graduated from the École Professionnelle de Design Industriel in Paris. His broad experience in packaging, structural design, and architecture has attracted a multifaceted mix of apparel, beauty, and consumer brand corporations. Mr. Gobé created the concept of "total presence" in branding when the business was still highly specialized and created brand design strategies that engage consumers emotionally at different points of the brand experience. Clients include Air France, AOL, Estée Lauder, Ann Taylor, Victoria's Secret, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Danone, Gillette, Brooks Brothers, Linens’N Things, Reebok, Gatorade, and Starbucks, among others.

Marc is a frequent speaker at conferences that focus on marketing and design, including Columbia Business School, The AIGA Brandesign Conference, the Clio Award China Show 2003, DNR Menswear CEO Summit, Metropolis Wonderbrands Conference, the Fragrance Foundation, the Strategic Research Institute, and The Conference Board, among others. Marc has also been invited to address top managers on Emotional Branding in corporations such as L'Oréal, Montblanc, Estée Lauder, Procter & Gamble, General Motors, Liz Claiborne, Motorola, Lexus, AOL, 3M, General Mills, Richemont, and Peugeot.

Marc has been profiled in and has written articles for The New York Times, Business Week, Chief Executive Officer, Leaders, Brandweek, Women’s Wear Daily, DNR, Harper’s Bazaar, and The Economist. He was also interviewed by the ABC News radio. He has received numerous design awards from publications and institutions such as ID magazine, Interiors, Graphis, VM+SD, The Brand Design Association, The Art Directors Club, and Clio.
