PEN TUDOR
One of the three brilliant founders of Adweek Magazine, Pen also carried the torch for Time Life Cable in his marketing director days. Now he is an advisor and member of the Board for a number of corporations and a Life Director of the Independent Colleges of Southern California organization. The American Advertising Federation established the W. Pendleton Tudor Media Internship Program to "...honor the contributions of Pen Tudor, Chairman Emeritus of ADWEEK. Pen is a magazine innovator with a lifelong commitment to the advertising marketplace." Pen has a career spanning 42 years as a media and communications professional. After 20 years as a publishing and cable executive with Time-Life he co-founded ASM Communications, a publisher of multi-magazine business titles reporting on the media, advertising, marketing, computers, photography and other fields. ASM is now owned by VNU, a major media conglomerate in Europe and North America. Pen is currently active as a media and marketing consultant. He is a native of Oakland and raised in Southern California. Married with two adult children, Pen matriculated at the University of Southern California where he earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees, and has participated in two certification Harvard Business School management programs on the Cambridge campus.
Pen is a dear friend and business adviser of long standing. He has been helping this project from our earliest days and we welcome him heartily to our Advisory Council.
