PHASE II INFO By now, all entrants whose work have won a 2008 Spark Award have been notified. If you have not been notified, then you have not qualified for this year. Sorry if your design did not win. We wish you all well, and sincerely hope you will try again in the years to come.
The reasons that a design is not chosen are many and varied. Although we do not ask the judges to comment on, or defend their choices, they have the best interests of the competition in mind and many years of working both as designers and as jurists to guide them. For the most part, pieces that are not moved forward are ones the judges think don't align with our criteria or need more development or higher production standards. Spark personnel did not participate in the voting. This year entrants went all-out in executing and preparing their work. It was of a very high caliber and quite competitive. And as always, Spark considers every designer who enters a part of the Spark Community. If you would like to see the winning work, watch this space. The Challengers will be viewable in a special section of the website, and the ultimate Spark Phase II winners will be on long-term display at the Autodesk Design Gallery in San Francisco. If you have any other questions drop an email to: entries @ sparkawards.com (remove spaces) or call: Ph: +1-866-846-6715 (International: +1.914.481.6106) Thanks again for Sparking!
All Best-- --Peter Kuchnicki, Director
